Information in Data Volume Inquiry screen

On this screen, the following data volume is displayed as a line graph. The period to be displayed can be switched by day/month. The data volume is summarized and displayed based on Japan Standard Time (JST).

• Number of translation characters: This is a numerical value showing the volume of machine translation data used in Quick MT (Text translation and Document translation) and Quick PE in the number of characters. At clicking [Translation characters] button, you will be navigated to Total Number of Translation Characters screen. On that screen, you can specify the period, unit, features, etc., to display the aggregated results in more detail, and export them (tsv file format).
• LAC language asset data volume: The volume of language asset data registered in LAC is displayed in three types of unit. Click [Lang asset data volume] button to go to LAC Language Asset Data Volume screen. On that screen, you can specify the period to display the data volume, and export the aggregated results (tsv file format).
  
  • Number of TUs: The data volume is displayed in TU (Translation Unit). TU means a pair (line) of the source and translation texts.
  • Number of characters: The data volume is displayed in characters.
  • Number of words (word-count): The data volume is displayed in words.

About the unit of data volume (k, M)

The data volume is expressed in units k (1,000) or M (1,000,000). When you hover over the line chart, the date and number (k/M notation including a few decimal places) are displayed as hints. In the example below, the data volume is approximately 776k TUs (776,404 TUs) on 8th March.

Export the aggregated results

Aggregated results of LAC language asset data volume and the number of translation characters can be exported. The format of the exported file is tsv (tab separator values), so you can paste it directly into an Excel file and use it.
